Looking Ahead: The New Year Opens Nicely!

Good Morning, world!

And happy happy new year!

This year starts off on the right foot for me. I decided to log into Destiny 2 on the 1st just before the reset, and I explore the new additions that the second season has to offer. One of which, Xur now sells a 97 shard engram that assures an exotic I don’t have yet. Wonderful addition, by the way. And first thing I get as I end the first day of the year? The pair of hunter pants I’ve been waiting for since the game launched on PS4 then again on PC…The Orpheus Rig… So thank you RNG, I finally got it! This made the start of my year amazing among other things, like winning a little in Vegas over the weekend or opening a Magic the Gathering Amonkhet booster pack that yielded a Masterpiece Invocation. So, yes, this weekend made up for a lackluster Christmas the week before.

Did any of you folks get a good headstart this year? I think 2018 is a good year. I can just feel it. 2017 didn’t feel this way when last year came along.

What do we want to play?

If there’s one single game I want to play this month it will definitely be Monster Hunter World. Hands down. I’ve been able to get into the betas while they were runnung and as other Monster Hunter games, the grind never gets boring. So, bring it on! If I can get one single game, it will be this! ๐Ÿ™‚

Digimon Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory is a decent second. I loved the first and I missed the mainstream Digimon entries in gaming. So, I’m definitely picking this one up when I get the chance.

Honorable mentions are Dissidia FF NT, but since the lack of campaign for this title, I may put it off, and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. Both are high on my list, but as with most fighting games, I want to see how well they start off before I buy in. Specially now when all my friday night buddies are all busy and working now, these games are less fun than they used to be. Besides that, DFFNT, may not even be a couch competitive game due to how it’s structured. Hmm. But they will definitely be on my buy list this month when I clear out the bills.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more experience sharing! Chime in where it counts, guys! ๐Ÿ™‚
